Spring Cleaning Checklist

Spring Cleaning Checklist

Spring is here, and it's time to spruce up your facility with a deep clean! This season presents an opportunity to refresh and rejuvenate your workplace. We’re here to help you keep it that way all year round.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

MAKE A GAME PLAN

Before you begin cleaning, take some time to plan out your approach. What needs the most attention? Is specialized project work necessary?  Make a list of your biggest concerns. Typically, winter weather impacts floors, windows, and entryways the most. We're always available to help. Take a look at our example scope of work.

DECLUTTER

Clutter can make any space look messy and disorganized. Start by decluttering surfaces, including desks, tables, and shelves. Encourage employees to do the same by providing them with recycling and garbage bins in convenient locations. A clear desk helps keep a clear mind.

ORGANIZE STORAGE AREAS

Take some time to organize storage areas, like supply closets and cabinets. Make sure that everything is properly labeled and stored in a way that is easy to access. Setting up storage spaces for success makes upkeeping cleanliness easier.

ENCOURAGE DESK HYGIENE

Disinfecting computers, keyboards, printers, and other desk items can help keep everyone healthy. Making sure to disinfect under desktop items is an important and overlooked step. Clearing off your desk completely is the best way to make sure it’s completely clean

Where we can help:

ELIMINATING BUILD-UP WITH REGULAR CLEANING

A regular cleaning schedule can prevent build-up. With a dedicated plan of action, your facility can be freshly cleaned each day. Tailoring our services and schedules to each facility is one of our top priorities. We’re happy when you’re happy.

DUSTING AND VACUUMING

Dust and dirt tend to accumulate over the winter months, so it's important to do thorough dusting and vacuuming. Detail dusting in regular intervals can prevent buildup in even the most overlooked places. We pay special attention to ceiling fans, light fixtures, and baseboards.

DEEP CLEANING YOUR FLOORS

Winter weather can take a toll on floors, so giving them a deep clean is important. We use a high-quality floor cleaner and scrubber to remove dirt, salt, and grime. Of course, it’s always a good idea to consider stripping and re-waxing your floors. They’ll look good as new.

CLEANING WINDOWS AND MIRRORS

Spotless windows and mirrors make a huge difference in the overall appearance of your workplace. We use streak-free glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to make your windows and mirrors crystal clear.

DISINFECTING FREQUENTLY TOUCHED SURFACES

Spring is also the perfect time to disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and keyboards. We use a disinfectant spray to kill germs and bacteria.

By following these tips, you can help your workplace look and feel clean and fresh this spring. Summit is here to help, and we're excited to get started working with you to keep your facility clean, and your employees happy and healthy. When you're ready to reach out, we'll be ready to clean!

Happy spring cleaning!
